well-designed. fun. good.
Pretty neat game, cute visuals, cool music, the health bar needing to constantly be refilled is an interesting idea for a game like this, but it has issues, I think the biggest one is the lack of any other moves, I think a button to duck, and one to look up, the duck button to be able to attack using your foot, like making enemies trip, and the up button to upper cut, wich would make for some more interesting gameplay, and one other thing is to have enemy veriety, you can make it so you have a big enemy with bigger punches but you can avoid those punches if you duck, or one that shoots from a far, and the moveemnt needs to be polished a bit, spesificaly when atta cking if you are still holding A or D but punch again you will not turn, wich is a bit annoying,
I understand this is for a game jam, and you probably wanted to make something small, but I'm saying this for your future projects, wich I wish you luck for, have a nice day.
Thanks for the feedback, they are very valuable. I'm a solo developer in this game jam so I can't do too much. The biggest hurdle is mainly art asset since I need to draw everything myself and free assets are really not applicable due to art style clashing. I want to add other moves too since its easy on the programming side but I don't have time to draw that and don't have the design either. Your suggestion to ducking reminded me a bit of traditional fighting game, may be holding ctrl to duck and have access to another moveset. I think it would be a nice change to the game. I fixed the attack movement btw, nice catch. Thanks again!
You're welcome! I am also a solo dev and undesrtand how hard it is to make art assets, even smaller ones, wish you the best of luck mate.
